Researchers - please be aware.
While the first section of this book is correct and has much reliable information, the second section of the book is rife with error. White listed "participants" of the battle without conducting her research with due diligence. She relied on family members of Patriots as to the Patriot's participation. Many of those family members reported "family tradition" rather than battle reality. As a consequence, White credited many who did not participate.
Over the last decades, research has surfaced proving the participation of Patriots. Will Graves designed a software package that eases the reading of Applications for Revolutionary War Pension. Fred Weyler took tthose applications and compiled a Web Page for the battle. Reference bkmnp.com for the most accurate roster of actual participants.with supporting documentation.
